Production has been completed and you are now ready to package and ship your orders.
Ready to Ship
Once all production cards associated with an order are completed, the order will automatically be marked as Ready to Ship. You can also manually mark the order as Ready to Ship.
You will locate these orders under Orders > Ready to Ship
Recording Shipments from the Order
By clicking into the order, you will find a card along the right hand side that details the shipping address and allows you to record a shipment for the order
Clicking Record Shipment will bring you to another screen where you can enter important details about the shipment:
Here you can enter any tracking numbers you'd like to associate with the shipment, verify the shipping method and destination address, and notably choose individual items you would like to put onto the shipment. This is valuable for creating partial shipments if portions of orders ship before others, or if a large order is simply spread across multiple physical shipments.
If you have an order partially shipped, you will note that the order's status is changed to - you guessed it:
Additionally any shipments recorded for the order can be found on the shipping card in the order detail view, where you can view what products were on the shipments, as well as delete any that may have been entered in error:
Recording Shipments in Bulk
Any time you have orders to ship or deliver - if you are not purchasing and printing shipping labels through InkSoft - you'll need to manually Record Shipment on those orders to move them to Completed. You can Record Shipment on an individual order, of course, but most of the time you'll be working with multiple orders in the Ready To Ship view.
To Record Shipments in Bulk, select multiple orders one by one, or you can Select All orders at once. Then click Record Shipment. Note that this method will only allow you to mark the order in its entirety as shipped. If you would like to perform a partial shipment for an order, that must be done directly from the order as detailed above.
You will then have an option to enter a Tracking Number (if you've already shipped the orders and you have tracking information you'd like to add, you can add it here), and you can choose to Notify Customer Via Email that their orders have shipped.
When you're ready, click Submit.
Shipment notification emails will then go out (if you chose that option), and all of the orders will be moved to Completed.
