How to follow Facebook standards to ensure brand visibility.
Allow your friends, existing clients and new shoppers to become your advocate through Facebook Sharing. A great marketing tool to get your store(s) showcased on social media.
Sharing Best Practices
Facebook set the ratio standard to 1.91:1 when showcasing your logo. You logo will pull through when your shoppers share your landing page. Facebook suggest that your logo size be 600px X 315px but at the very least make sure you are hitting 200px X 200px.
NOTE: Super wide logos that exceed Facebooks ratio of 1.91:1 will NOT display when sharing OR will not show as desired (Image will exceed the diameters of the shared box, cutting the image off.) Instead, you will see the Store URL, Store Name and Description - Pulled from your SEO entry.
Pre-Caching Images
When you share your content for the first time, Facebook crawler will scrape and cache the metadata from the URL you are trying to share. The crawler must see an image at least once before it can be rendered.
Meaning, that the first person who shares a piece of content won't see a rendered image. Only pulling through the Store URL, Store Name and Description (Seen in the above screenshot.)
To avoid pre-cached images, run your URL through a URL debugger to refresh the cached images. Make sure to do this if you update the image for a piece of content as well.
Be patient! This can take some time.
