Using Blank Products Within Storefronts
Assigning Products To Storefronts
In order to display blank products on a storefront, they must be assigned to that store. This can be done within Manage Products.
- Select Products.
- Select Manage Products
- Choose the specific filter type to return desired products.
- Within Manage Products, select the items you want in the Store by checking the box on the left of the item.
- In the Select Action dropdown, select Assign to Store.
- Choose the Store and click Apply.
Once blank products are assigned, they can be viewed in the storefront within the Product Catalog, Featured Product components, and the Designer (if applicable).
Configuring Blank Purchase Options
These settings are visible on the General Tab when editing the product. The configuration saved will be the default purchase options used whenever the blank product on any storefronts the product is assigned to. If no purchase options are selected, then a Contact Us button will show on the Product Detail page and the shopper will not be able to add the product to their shopping cart.
The available purchase options are:
- Buy Now: This option will allow shoppers to choose their size, color, and quantity, and then add the blank product(s) to their cart as is, with no decoration applied.
- Design Online: Allow shoppers to create/upload designs, and then decorate the product
themselves using the Online Designer. This option requires the most interaction from the customer, as they are essentially creating their own virtual mock-ups. They can then choose their size, color, and quantity, then add the custom-decorated product(s) to their cart. (Note: this is the default option selected when adding the product to the catalog). - Design Details Form: This gives shoppers the ability to submit paid orders for personalized products without having to pull them into the Designer. This workflow is ideal for those who want personalized products, but don't yet have their artwork available (although there is also an Upload option here too).
- The Button Label field allows admins to enter their own label for the button that displays on the Product Detail Page. By default, the button label will be set to 'Upload Now'. (Note: this field is required and cannot be left blank).
Setting Blank Purchase Options in Bulk
Blank Purchase Options can be updated in bulk from the Manage Products page.
- Use the filter options and select the products to be modified by checking the box to the left of each product.
- Once products are selected, open the Select Action dropdown.
- Choose Set Blank Purchase Options.
A popup will appear with the list of all the blank products selected from the Manage Products table (Note: if any pre-decorated products were selected, they will be left out, as the Set Blank Purchase Options bulk action only applies to blank products).
Blank Purchase Options can be selected on a store level from within the popup, as well as editing the Design Form Button Label for all selected products. Once all of the selections have been made, click the Apply action. The popup will close and all changes will be saved.
Store Overrides
Blank Product Color Options can also be set at the Store Level within the Stores Tab:
- Select the Stores Tab from within the Product Settings.
- Click the drop-down menu in the upper left hand corner to select the storefront (Note: only storefronts the product is assigned to will be shown).
- After selecting the store, click the product colors to add/remove them from the selected storefront. The green box around the color indicates that the color is selected.
- Repeat these steps to assign different colors to different stores.
