Apply Distress in CorelDRAW X5

How to apply a distress file from InkSoft using CorelDRAW.

Open the Art in Corel

• This will be the image rendered without the distress.

Import Distress

• Select File.
• Then Select Import.
• The distress can also be dragged in from the desktop or folder.

• Select the distress file. 
• Then select Import.

Size the Distress to Fit the Canvas

• In this example, just the sizing tabs were used, but use whatever is most comfortable.

Convert the Distress to Bitmap

Convert to Black and White

• Select Black and White (1-bit) in the Color mode dropdown.

Left Click the Transparency in the Color Palette

Right Click White in the Color Palette

Ready to Print

• The art should be ready to print now. Don't forget to save!

Print Separations

• The distress will be applied to the original art when printed.
