Mastercard, a prominent global payment network, requires merchants to register when they intend to surcharge their purchasers (adding an additional fee to transactions made with credit cards). 

This requirement is essential for transparency and fairness in the payment ecosystem and is your acknowledgment that you will follow MasterCard’s guidelines and regulations regarding surcharging purchasers.

Below is guidance on how to complete this registration form.

Complete your basic demographic information:

• First Name
• Last Name
• Email Address
• Job Title
• Organization Name
• Business Phone Number
• Merchant name (DBA name): This name should match the name listed on your Payments account
  • the name that is displayed to your purchasers on their bank statements. 
• Address (physical location, not a PO Box)
• City
• State
• Zip

Enter information about your surcharging program:

• Acquirer/Processor Name: Payrix, LLC
• Type of Surcharge: Select Brand
• Payment channels: Select e-commerce
• Date surcharging will begin: Enter the date you intend to submit your first surcharged transaction
• Number of locations surcharging: 1-50

* Note: There is a 30 day waiting period if this is your first time registering with MasterCard for surcharging.  If you have previously registered while working with another payment processor, you do not need to submit another registration form.
