InkSoft makes it easy to manage jobs to get work done more efficiently.
The Job Board
The Job Board lists the open jobs within InkSoft that can be accessed. The job board from Production Manager by clicking into the Jobs tab.
Viewing Jobs
- Open Jobs: All open jobs, completed jobs, or all jobs (open and completed) can be viewed by selecting the drop-down.
- Search: Enter a search term and hit return to search for jobs with matching terms.
- Filter: Use filter options to narrow and view jobs by and combination of:
- Workflow: Workflow assigned to the job.
- Workflow Stage: Current workflow stage.
- Job Created Date: Date that job was created.
- Schedule Date: Date the job is scheduled for.
- Due Date: Date the job is due.
Click on the Job Number to open the Job Details.
Managing a Job
Job Details
Job Details has three main tabs - Summary, Art, and Products.
The Summary tab gives a high-level overview of the job. The Summary tab contains the following:
- Job Notes: Optional job notes. These notes are internal only.
- Production Cards: List of the production cards included in the job, including the order(s) they are tied to, their current payment status, and the high-level product information. (Note: Production cards can be added or removed here.)

- Product Previews: Preview of the products included in the job.
- Timeline: Timeline of actions or updates made to the job. Comments can be left here as well.
The Art tab manages the art files associated to the job. The Art tab contains the following:
- Artwork/Design: Includes Design Name, Print Location, Decoration Method, Color Count, and Colorway.
- Art Notes: Important notes can be added to the production card here.
- Colors: Provides the color count and color details for the artwork used.
- Attachments: Contains a downloadable file for the artwork. Additional art files can be attached if needed.
The Products tab shows the product information associated to the job. The Product tab contains the following:
- Product Name: Includes Product Name, Manufacturer Name, and Product SKU.
- Product Color: Includes Product Color, Sizes, and Quantities.
- Purchasing Status: Displays the current purchasing status for each size and quantity of the blank product in the production card. This shows if the blank product still "Needs Purchasing" or if it has been "Received".
Job Actions
The below can be selected when viewing an individual job:
- Print: Creates a printable work order of the individual job.
- Download PDF: Creates a downloadable pdf work order of the individual job.
- Job Actions: Job options and controls including:
- Edit Job: Allows the job name, schedule date, and job notes to be edited.
- Change Workflow: Allows the job to be moved to another workflow and stage.
- Download Render Package: Downloads a .zip file containing all job details. This includes the work order and all art assets that are in the job.
- Delete Job: Permanently deletes the job. All production cards assigned to the job will be released back into the Production Cards tab so they can be assigned to another job.
- Job Stage: The job stage can be changed to any stage in the workflow the job is currently assigned to. (Note: 'Completed' is a fixed stage for all workflows. It indicates the job has been produced and will communicate to the associated order(s) that those items have been produced.)
