Create a Pre-Decorated Product

Creating a pre-decorated product within the design studio allows you to easily design and sell static products to your customers.

To begin the pre-decoration process, make sure that blank products are loaded into your Main Store. These will serve as the blanks for the pre-decorated items. 

Navigating to Pre-Decorated Products

• Hover over Products.
• Click on Add New Product.
• Click on New Pre-Decorated Product.

Creating A Pre-Decorated Product

There are two options to create pre-decorated items within this section:

• Create in Design Studio: This method allows you to pull from your blank product catalog and decorate using the Design Studio. 
• Upload From Computer: This method is ideal for a product you already have a decorated image for that is not in your Inksoft catalog, like products such as promotional items, stickers, water bottles, etc. 

Choosing your product in the Design Studio

• Select the product by clicking on Change Product. Products can be searched by category or by typing the product SKU in the search box. 
• The product color can be changed by selecting Change Product Color. All product colors will have the decoration applied, the color chosen here is the color that will be decorated on within the Design Studio.
• The product side can be changed by clicking on Change Product Side to decorate the back and side (or sleeve) as needed.  

Design your Product

• Upload Image allows artwork to be uploaded directly from your computer.
• Add Art allows artwork to be selected from your Saved Art, as well as the Clip Art and Design Ideas assigned to the store chosen.
• Add Text allows customizable text to be added to a design. 
• Place the artwork on the desired product side. 
• Click Save to name the design and render the pre-decorated product. Once saved, it will lock the product as is. Please make sure the item is fully decorated before saving. 
• The amount of time that the rendering process takes will depend on the colors in the design and the number of product colors. This process may take a few minutes. Do not close the design studio during this process.

After the design has finished rendering (or you've uploaded your own product image via "Upload From Computer"), you will be brought to the Edit Product page within Manage Products to assign your product information.

If it was created using an existing blank product via the Design Studio, all the blank product information will come over from the supplier, including product name, description, etc. This information is editable, if desired.
