SSL Certificates
InkSoft offers the following SSLs when securing your InkSoft stores:
- Shared SSL through https://stores.inksoft.com.
This is the built-in option and is free. It will use https://stores.inksoft.com as a prefix in web pages that require security (i.e. account sign-in and checkout pages.). This is the default if you do not have a custom domain.
NOTE: If you have a custom domain but no SSL installed, your domain will change from 'domain.com' to https://stores.inksoft.com/Store_Directory when your shopper is within the Checkout page. This is to ensure that the checkout is always secured with an SSL.
- Free SSL through Let's Encrypt (Recommended)
Let's Encrypt gives people a digital certificate you need in order to enable HTTPS (SSL/TLS) for websites, for free, in the most user-friendly way they can. Click Here to configure the Free SSL!
Benefits To SSL Certificates:
- Creates consumer confidence by indicating site security
- You can use your custom domain name versus stores.inksoft.com
- Every page is secured with an important search engine ranking factor
