How to make individual and bulk edits to Design Ideas.
Manage Design Ideas gives you control over the design assets available within your InkSoft account. From a central location, you can filter, edit, organize, and perform bulk actions on existing Design Ideas to keep your library up to date and easy to navigate. This article walks through how to find, manage, and maintain Design Ideas within the Admin Portal.
Navigating to Design Ideas
- Hover over Art.
- Hover over Design Ideas.
- Click Manage.
Choose the Filter
- Select a Filter Type:
- Store
- Category
- Type (vector or raster)
- Number of colors
- Featured
- Admin Created
- Click the Apply button to return the filtered design ideas.
Managing Designs
- When hovering over a selected image, select the checkbox to include it as part of bulk action changes, or make individual edits can be made using one of two options (left to right):
- Edit: Make individual edits outlined below.
- Edit in Design Studio: Allows editing of the artwork in the Design Studio. That updated version can then be saved. (Note: Renaming the design when saving will create a new design and leave the original as is).
After returning design ideas, there are a number of options available to manage them:
- Delete: Will delete the selected design idea files.
- Edit: Selected designs will be opened in edit mode to edit categories, background color, store, and keywords.
- Upload Keyword CSV: This will allow you to upload your edited keywords.
- Download Keyword CSV: Downloads a CSV template for editing or adding keywords for each design idea file. This can be edited in Excel or Google Docs.
- Assign to Store & Category: Assigns the artwork to any specific stores or categories.
- Lock: 'Locks' each selected design idea so that it cannot be customized.
- Unlock: Unlocks the selected designs to make them customizable.
- Change Background Color: Allows the selection of a the background color for the selected design.
- Featured: Marks selected designs to be featured on the storefront.
- Mark Un-featured: Mark selected design ideas to be un-featured to remove them from the featured design section.
- Change Associated Product: Changes the default product associated with the design.
- After selecting the appropriate filter, Click Apply to generate results
Select the Save button when all changes have been completed.
