Bulk Product Upload

Create multiple custom products at once using our Bulk Product Upload feature!

Bulk Product Upload allows you to efficiently add multiple products to your catalog at once, helping you save time and maintain consistency across your store. Instead of creating products individually, you can upload product data in bulk using a structured file format, making it easier to scale and manage large catalogs. This article explains how to prepare your file, upload products in bulk, and review your imported items within the system.

How to use the Bulk Product Upload Feature

Accessing the Bulk Product Upload feature:

• Click on the Navigation Menu Button in the upper left
• Click on Products > Add New Product.
• Click on Bulk Product Upload

Step 1: Upload Product CSV Template

• Click Download CSV Template as seen below.

• After downloading the product template, input your desired product data. Note: Required fields cannot be left blank. 
• Upload your saved/completed product template

Step 2: Select Image Upload Method

We provide three options for associating/uploading product images as part of the bulk product creation process. 

• Direct Link in CSV Template: Enter the direct URL to the image within the uploaded CSV Template. 
• Upload from Zip Folder (Recommended): Upload a ZIP folder from your computer. 
• I don't have my images yet: You can create products and later manually upload product images.

Create Products

Once you've selected your saved/completed product template and selected the desired image upload method, you can click the Create Products button. If there are any within the errors you will be notified.

Success & Error Messaging 

Confirmation Message

After successful upload, InkSoft will give you a success message as shown below.

Dashboard Message

Once the upload has been processed, a Dashboard message will display to the user who started the initial upload. The message will show the breakdown of the number of rows that were successfully uploaded, were uploaded but had missing information, and were unable to be uploaded. Note: if rows have incomplete data, a warning report will be generated that details the missing information.

Email Confirmation 

Following the completion of the upload, InkSoft will send an email message to the user who began the upload. Note: the generated warning report can also be accessed from this message.

Important Notes & Helpful Tips

• All products created during the upload will be marked as 'Unpublished'. This is an important quality control measure to prevent the accidental addition of product. 
• For blank 'customizable' products, print regions will need to be added after the bulk upload process.
