Welcome to the InkSoft API! This guide provides an overview of the InkSoft API and how it can be used to connect InkSoft with other systems and applications. It covers the API’s capabilities and key information for working with InkSoft data, helping developers build integrations and automate workflows that extend the functionality of InkSoft.
InkSoft API 2 provides a modern, flexible way to connect your InkSoft account with external applications, workflows, and integrations. Built with predictable, resource-oriented endpoints and support for both JSON and XML responses, API 2 makes it easier to securely access and exchange data across your business systems.
What type of keys are available?
There is an Integration API key, and an API 2 key. The Integrations Key is only for use in supported 3rd party integrations, and does not require a particular license. The Inksoft API key is for use in custom development. Please note: Access to the InkSoft API requires an InkSoft Unlimited license and is subject to an additional monthly fee. How to Access API 2
Once enabled, head to the navigation menu on the left, and click on Integrations. From there, you can generate the Inksoft API key, as well as view our doc on Inksoft API 2. The Inksoft API2 documentation lists supported calls for the API, and the calls will not work until the API has been enabled.
What Will API 2 Bring?
Our API has predictable, resource-oriented URLs which return data in the format of your choice (XML or JSON). We support cross-origin resource sharing, allowing you to interact securely with our API from a client-side web application.
API 2 is engineered to provide a superior user experience, all starting with the documentation.
